Inverclyde curling news
Enlarge photographGourock Ladies Curling Club is looking forward to the start of a new curling season and is encouraging anyone interested in taking up the sport to get involved.
Our club was established in 1979, curling firstly in Glasgow and then at Greenacres Curling Club in Howwood. We now have been curling at the Waterfront Leisure Centre in Greenock since it opened in 1997. The club offers a friendly, supportive environment for women of all ages and abilities, whether completely new to curling or returning after time away. We currently play a variety of league games, bonspiels and friendly games, playing regularly on Tuesday mornings and Wednesday evenings, spread through the season.
As the season begins, we are keen to attract new members. There are many come and try sessions at the Waterfront, with trained coaches and we would be delighted to attend these sessions alongside anyone interested in trying out the sport. The new Inverclyde Curling website provides a central place for local curling news, updates, and club information.
The club hopes the coming season will bring good curling, strong participation, and plenty of enjoyment on the ice.
