Inverclyde curling news
Enlarge photographThe Clyde Coast League gets underway on Monday 5 October, bringing together seven teams from Ardgowan, Port Glasgow, Largs Thistle and Dumbarton curling clubs.
This well-established inter-club competition gives players from across the area the opportunity to compete against one another, renew old friendships and meet curlers from other clubs.
The participating teams are:
Ardgowan 1
Ardgowan 2
Ardgowan 3
Port Glasgow
Largs Thistle 1
Largs Thistle 2
Dumbarton
Each team will play every other team once, giving every team six matches during the competition. Three games will normally be played each evening, with one team receiving a bye.
All matches begin at 8.00 pm and are scheduled for:

Monday 26 October
Monday 2 November
Monday 9 November
Monday 16 November
Monday 23 November
Monday 30 November

The Clyde Coast League is a great example of clubs working together. While everyone wants to win on the ice, it is also a friendly and sociable competition that allows players to meet new people and enjoy curling beyond their own club.

You do not need any previous experience to give curling a try. Local Come and Try sessions offer a friendly introduction to the sport, with guidance and equipment provided.
