GOUROCK · INVERCLYDE MEMBER CLUB
Friendly curling on the Clyde.
Gourock Ladies Curling Club is a warm and welcoming local club that perfectly balances competitive spirit with social camaraderie. We curl regularly at the Waterfront Leisure Centre in Greenock and extend a heartfelt welcome to experienced players, returning curlers, and complete beginners alike. For us, the game is just as much about enjoying the sport as it is about building lifelong friendships.
GOUROCK LADIES CURLING CLUB · INVERCLYDE
A local club with a living curling tradition.
Our club was established in 1969 by a group of women seeking a new activity and a close-knit community. In our early days, we travelled to Crossmaloof in Glasgow and later to Greenacres Curling Club to play. The opening of the Waterfront Leisure Centre in 1997 allowed us to grow our local membership and welcome younger generations into the sport. Today, we are proud to have around 50 active members. The family spirit of our club runs deep, with many children and grandchildren of our founding members happily carrying on the family curling tradition.
While we love the social side of curling, we also regularly compete against other clubs both locally at the Waterfront and across Scotland. Over the years, we have achieved notable success, including winning regional knockout stages to proudly represent the Waterfront at the prestigious Henderson Bishop Competition.
